Well Steve I am neither ignorant or stupid and I am sure if you ever met me you would like me .
Now regarding bashing America and its inhabitants , I can't afford to do that as I have a son , yankee daughter inlaw
"her words" and grandaughter who live in New york .
I have been to America and can't really say I was over impressed , its ok !
Now Subjects thats a classic one thing is for sure you will never make a Scotsman a subject , especially one like me with an Irish Italian background , add some Glaswegian to that mix and you get a splendid chap but never a subject
Most "Subjects" from the UK only see a very false facade of America as they are generally on holiday ( vacation )
They don't see the daily drudgery endured by overly long commutes to work and the down and outs collecting plastic bottles in and around the city that never sleeps . or the massive traffic jams with drivers that have utterly no manners on the road whatsoever , and they never take the drive along route 66 and see the real poverty in America
Seems entirely inappropriate......FFS that has got to be the most disgustingly offensive post I've seen on this site........unbelievable. I'm sure the kid and his family were as proud as anything.
Probably didn't expect some arsehole to turn his moment in the sun into something as despicable as this........can't imagine why anyone would post this.
I can think of at least 3 highly respected modellers on this site who have kids with disabilities. These kids are full of value, love and joy. Personally I would like to think the moderators would remove the image.
Actually I've changed my mind about the removal of the image. Leave it up that way people can make up their own mind about Langenberg and his attitudes.
Not a great look for a Jack Russell.........definitely more a War Bonnet type.
Now , back to strict gun control for protection....how well did that work in Paris not so long ago? My Sheriff is happy to issue CCW permits and feels that Citizens may have to protect themselves because they cannot be everywhere to save people who do not protect themselves.
This is an argument that I have often heard. I would be interested to know if there has ever been a situation where a private citizen carrying a firearm has stopped an atrocity such as happened in Paris, the Boston marathon etc.
As regards the USA, I have no cause to knock what I perceive in many ways to be a wonderful country, though like many other countries, one not without its problems. I think most non-Americans find the US obsession with personal weapons bemusing. Interestingly, Canada doesn't appear to have the same issues w.r.t. personal firearms.
