Lol! Thanks Oda for that fantastic complement. Airfix figures have some kind of attraction for me, probably to do with my youth (fooling myself I'm still 18....?)
I know that things have moved on hugely, quality-wise, but they are so easy to work with and not expensive (especially if you use up the spares box like I am with most of these).
I didn't set out for this to be an epic , but it's developed a life of its own and now it's almost 2 years since I started! Let's hope it doesn't take another year to finish. I think I can see the end now - only 7 more figures to go!

Believe me I know exactly how you feel.I'm a Historex buff myself and I'm in a constant "still 18" phase:).Your drive and determination though exeed mine by far.
Cheers and keep up the fantastic work.

Oda.

I think my 3D printed bayonet might be a bit out of scale so I'm going to check it and re-print if necessary.
I had some trouble painting the eyes on the last 3 figures so I gouged them out like Oedipus and added new ones from Duro, which I hope are better.
Right then -on with the paint!
Thanks for watching
Neil

Great conversion work, it's a very realistic pose and I love the detail on the back of the ammo pouch. I have to agree agree, I think the bayonet does look rather big....... But great progress.

Thanks Nigel.
I measured the Historex bayonets I have used and it's exactly the same length. I think the problem is where it's sitting, it just looks odd. Anyway , it's staying now.
