WIP ANZAC charge ,Gallipoli 1/32

At a rough estimate,I could do the whole set retail at 120 pounds,a tennor per figure say but that would be the whole dio.As for breaking it down into smaller lots a mixed bag of figures can be used in different order.

Would this price be for white metal, resin or plastic? Or perhaps a collector set cast in bronze?

I plan to cast the scene and figures all in grey resin ,with the extra of photo etch hook bayonets.As the charge scene is set in one general direction the etch bayonet groove will appear on the view side ,as both sides cannot be etched or grooved both sides.
I will pick up a sheet of etched bayonets soon to see how they look.

I estimated £120 for the set and if Tommy's War can sell at that then I am sure this Gallipoloi set will.

Hello ,
Having taken your comments on board,I have since recovered and the build continues.The composition works in close with a lot of geometry and triangles to keep it bound in or "tight".
Building casualties isnt so easy as some emotional baggage comes with it(Im not a Military person at all,but a certain amount of melancholy comes with this diorama).
Other view points were taken with the camera but this angle says it most so far.
Dont forget ,another five standing figures will be added more to the right on the base,so Im not out of the woods yet.
What do you think so far?.

I think you are doing some of your finest work - I often feel that the best models are the ones that are arguments against warfare, melancholia is an emotion that has to go with casualties and Gallipoli has to be one of the most senseless wastes of life in warfare - Arnhem was another. Once in production and in the hands of master painters this will be a prize winner at competitions.

I think you ought to write a journal about the making of this set.

With figures it is often the faces that make the figures and it will be the emotion that you capture with this set. I am so looking forward to the finished product.

Great work Andy!
IMO by "stacking" the casualties it ready gives the impression of the concentration of the carnage... as though this is the point in the charge where our attackers hit the wall of lead. Sad and controversial as battle depictions can be... I think it a matter of "it is what it is".
