Hi Joe,
such kind of subject is not one of my preferred..., but your painting job looks very good. I like especially the blank rendition.
Just one thing, if I can, is about the setting of the figure, maybe an urban square (a piece of wall, gate, etc.) will stand out better the figure ?

Thanks for the very kind words. I am enjoying painting again and I hope that this one will be finished soon and I can then move on to another subject. I have in mind another Napoleonic, in white! :lol: I will try to post a few more pictures soon.

You have a great idea on the setting. The reason for the setting here is that I did not have a base big enough to hold anything on. I had been in such a rut buying on bases that just held a figure and nothing else. I plan to change that here in Chicago and buy bigger bases.

I think you should paint this figure. It is such a painter friendly one and you should be able to do a really nice job.

When i can paint such great white's with oils i surely gonna do this lovely figure. It is now on my buying list.

A bit late onto this one (as usual) but I echo the previous posts - your whites are extremely good. Bruno Liebovitz's figures are neat and simple but they look so good when they get a quality paint job like this.

Now somewhere in the ranks of the grey army I've got a Guard Flanqueur ...hmmmm???
