:cautious: Rail Line Between Folkestone & Dover

It has just been announced on our local S.E News that the Railway Line between Folkestone and Dover Priory which was washed away in last winters storms

will reopen on the 5th September 2016. in time for Euro. The Chief Engineer for network Rail must be a figure painter.:D

If anything changes I will re-post.

Mick

hey mick,i hav'nt come across an engineer yet in nearly 28yrs I could trust :cautious: :cautious::cautious::cautious::cautious::cautious::cautious::cautious::cautious::cautious:

Your right. Now they are saying it will be closed for three consecutive Sundays after the 5th Sept so that will include the 19th.

Mick
I see this sort of thing on the WCML all the time mate, back in the early 90s I travelled by train to euro from Charing Cross, but I've driven there now for the last 21 years, however people need to be very careful with this,if they don't check it will be a nightmare for them

oooops that's a bugger. In that case any chance of traffic updates.:D

And a reminder for those driving and using the Dartford Crossing don't forget to sort out the toll charge beforehand and avoid the fines.

I'm gonna have to get in practise and have an all inclusive Chinese bucket on Friday afternoon.

No that's not a typo...I shall just put the handle over the
back of my neck and eat a bucketful !

I want a coffee cup that big too.

Did I hear right on the news this evening, that Southern are planning strikes?
That's something we could do without.

Malc

Brian if that's where we have Sunday Breakfast too, why do we even book a Hotel, they may have rooms there !

Paul.
I'm staying somewhere completely different this year, about 2 miles out in a bed and breakfast,so I won't need to eat out for breakfast this year,I only did that last year because the breakfast in the Carlton hotel was crap

I remember your opinion of the Carlton as if it was yesterday!

Paul
I actually quite liked it,it was nice decor and I had a lovely room and double bed, however the breakfast was crap and my shower broke,I'd stay there again, but I would'nt have breakfast there anymore,it was a lot better and cleaner than the southcliffe
