Has PF become boring?

I had mentioned before that there is a risk of a dead hand having a negative effect on the forum.

By this I don't mean the moderators but those members who are so anally focused on the nuts and bolts of the hobby that they criticise those who take pleasure from adopting a broader perspective on what PF brings to its members.

Another trend is the growing tendency for deletion by the original author. OK sometimes things get said that we regret but posters should have the guts to stand by their statements or face up and apologise where felt necessary.

Another bugbear is where posters take the huff and delete perfectly OK posts just because somebody disagrees with either the content or approach.

And here's another :D when someone goes back to a post and adds or deletes content to alter the flow of the thread to show themselves in a more favourable light, particularly after deleting earlier posts and subsequently removing context

Think this thread is boring now !!

Everyone has opinions , others may not agree ...it's life IMO

Let's all get on with what we like to do ...modelling figures

If anyone has constructive suggestions or ideas to use on PF do PM me

Constructive criticism is not a way to personally attack someone. It is so easy for individuals to crossover and become harassment; for some of the posters on this forum it has become a daily occurrence of blatant harassment of others for their views on new releases.
Could you please show a couple of examples of blatant harassment on here? FWIW I think you're being a bit precious here.

Sorry Nap.....Why is it getting boring now?....Is it "because" PF members "are" stating their own honest opinions? After all; this is the lounge where we should be able to speak what's on our minds with each other. Everything usually gets worked out in end. There is no work posted here so it's mostly just basic rhetoric for members to throw out their thoughts and not be so serious. There's enough of that when spend our time trying to do the best we can on our art and hobby.
Best Regards to all,
Wayne

This will be my final comment.

Hi Wayne

just googled ......

In Japanese, kagemusha is a term used to denote a political decoy. It is set in the Sengoku period of Japanese history and tells the story of a lower-class criminal who is taught to impersonate a dying daimyō to dissuade opposing lords from attacking the newly vulnerable clan.

And the subject of a film by Kurosawa:

I wouldn't say it is getting boring.
It still has all the help and Info it always had.
But I do miss the rep ar tee of Ron & Del when they got going.
And the cut and thrust that Paul ( Peedee) bought to the forum.
But things never stay the same.

Isn't it nice when you have the option to be able to delete something you realize just doesn't set right with you personally. After all....some brain farts smell worse then others. Plus I also like the edit option.....How many of us wish they could reword something they said to someone? Sorry Derek, I think in the process of all your pretzel logic, you got your kilt stuck up your crack.

Wayne

I thought you asked to keep it friendly at the start of this thread
