I had mentioned before that there is a risk of a dead hand having a negative effect on the forum.
By this I don't mean the moderators but those members who are so anally focused on the nuts and bolts of the hobby that they criticise those who take pleasure from adopting a broader perspective on what PF brings to its members.
Another trend is the growing tendency for deletion by the original author. OK sometimes things get said that we regret but posters should have the guts to stand by their statements or face up and apologise where felt necessary.
Another bugbear is where posters take the huff and delete perfectly OK posts just because somebody disagrees with either the content or approach.
And here's another
when someone goes back to a post and adds or deletes content to alter the flow of the thread to show themselves in a more favourable light, particularly after deleting earlier posts and subsequently removing context
