The quoit or Chakra sounds like the kind of thing one could easily 3d print and incorporate into a sculpted turban. Let me know if you want me to have a bash as it shouldn't take more than a few minutes to design.
Hello Briggs, the pose is very nice with the bust slightly rotated. It may be due to the photo, but it seems a little big to me, 7 heads high is generally to represent "heroes". I think it comes from the boots, the 3D ones are a little higher than the original boots, I measured this on photos, so nothing is certain. I'm posting the result of my measurements below, hoping that it will help you have the most accurate anatomy possible.

I knew they didn't cut their beards but I didn't know about how they dress it. See what we learn here in the Planet?
Nice progress, Simon!
Prost!

Hi Simon
Nice dust protector there good idea , the trousers are coming along well ...perhaps a little more over the lower edges ?
Interesting to learn ref beards ....as you say everyday is a school day ! .....one for you perhaps ...lol
I knew about the quoit ( I believe the current Regt has a circle as a badge on turban front ...happy to be corrected ! ) .....found this picture one being worn one on front ..albeit by a officer
...good view of medals and fullness of trousers for you
Get modelling before granddaddy duties ...enjoy
Happy benchtime

Cheers Kev, without checking I believe this fella is 15th Ludhiana Sikhs, the turban colours give it away but the uniform is the same pattern.
I'll make a start on the tunic before re assessing the trousers, don't want to risk making him look like Cocco the clown.
The drying/dust box is great, with a dog and three cats in the house I need it.
Cheers Simon
Yes the medals, been a while since I looked at Indian Army medals, I need to get the Punjab Frontier, Samantha and Tirah Campaign medals but I have a book for that. Since the whole Garrison died I won't be doing the Indian Order of Merit, well I might, I'll decide when I get there.Happy to be proven wrong mate ...nice view of medals though !
