Fingers crossed I'll be able to start posting photos again from tomorrow.
The wooden base has been prepared using my new drill press for the first time, so at least I know he'll be straight. :)
I've been researching the uniform while working on the Continental Infantryman.
So, I'm ready to start adding the paint.

I love this bust. It seems very difficult to do, especially after seeing John Chan's version, but I'm sure you will give us an excellent version too !!

Finally a small update.

I've finished replacing the helmet strap with some foil (thanks to NRG) and some Magic-Sculpt.

That's looking good mate, wouldn't know it was a replacement. Looking forward to the body work.

Cheers Simon

Thanks Simon, I'm looking forward to the bodywork too, and I've just come across a set of AK british WW1 uniform colours in my collection. :)
Think they'll come in useful.
This morning I've painted the bottom of the bust ready to secure to the base, ready for painting.

I made a start on the uniform, using the AK WW1 uniform set.
I've use NMM for the brass work, then used a little brass to add for effect, then applied a coat of satin Varnish.

The photo is of the statue, that the bust was based on.
