I finally got around to painting the face, it is drying in the oven.
Tomorrow or Sunday, time permitting, I will take some pictures and share them with you.

Hey Guys, our poor, old Roman mule after wondering around the via Appia in a state of confusion, finally found his head.
I finally finished the face, the hair still needs controlled washes and highlights .
I will give the face extreme highlights and shadows when it is compltetely dry.

Looks fantastic Roc.........love the metals you have done, and like Anders, would be interested to know how you did the helmet.......superb work (y)

Hey Anders, thanks for kind words.

The helmet

Base = Testors gold with a little Sepia mixed into it, brushed on with a flat
brush.

Medium shadows = while the base is still wet shade with raw unber.

deep shadows = Sepia

Highlights = gently rub on with your finger some roses gold powder where
never necessary.

catch light = a touch of silver .

Weathering = when dry, give it a wash of raw umber.

Take care

Cheers
