Great attention to detail. Keep it up young man.
Malc
My word! they look fantastic, I'm sure you're happy with them and probably needed a bit of a lie down afterwards. Keep up the great work, Nap.
Melanie
Wow. Just looked in and must say that's very nice work.
Steve
Excellent and precise work so far!
NB The sword belt is gold painted leather, as it was the distinction "За храбрость", "For Bravery".
Cheers,
Pierre
All the visible parts of the belt should be gold covered leather, as for the buckle I don't think you risk the wrath of the Russian empire by painting it yellow metal/gold.
I chose white metal, but I'll delve in my reference to check.
Cheers,
Pierre
Am i right to add the end of belt under the buckle ?
That's possible, but then you should add a loop to retain that end or just add the loop about level with the lowest point of the breast star which is also the lowest point of the bust.
Pierre
Looks really good on the ribbons as Pierre says 'precise' and even texture shaded in excellent. All hail Pierre 'the font of all knowledge', we are lucky to have him here.
Cheers Simon
When I first looked at the picture, I thought it was the real thing, until I noticed the medals that needed painting.
Just shows what a stunning job you're making of this. Young Man.
Malc
The detail depth is starting to show micely, Kevin. Keep at it, young man!
The orders are miniature artworks in their own right. Lovely.
