Oh my Phil is so talented. I think I like this figure from his hand, as well
as any of his I recall seeing. And I agree with all that has been said by the
other Planeteers. I think WWII figures and Napoleonic Era figures are fine.
And I have purchased a number of them. But to pick a subject matter
from a different part of the globe, from a Historical (an Historical?) period
that we rarely see, and from a "profession" that is rarely sculpted into
an offering as interesting and skillful as this one, makes this latest
from Phil so exciting. It is refreshing to see something different!

I'm very impressed. . . . obviously! :)

Hello folks..l truly do appreciate your good thoughts..l must say how much l enjoyed sculpting "the stonecutter", l,ve had him in the back of the old brain for yonks now,.. new he,d come out when he was ready.....the other sculpt l have in the back of the old grey matter, is a fat old Baker, bread on a tray fresh from the oven, a character study.....the world wars can take a back seat for a time...

cheers folks Phil...

Hello Pekka,..
mate lm a wee behind the eight ball to-day, whats a Nokia N8 if its the hammer, its one of the sort the cutters were using in the "The Agony and the Ecstasy", but not being an expert on slege hammers, l thought perhaps it may be his mobile phone....???

behind the eight ball again..Phil..

Phil I think Pekka is referring to the way he has his hand near his ear, looks like he is using a mobile phone !!!

Steve

morning Steve,..behind the eight ball, lm not even on the table, getting old....but in fact he is using the tail piece of his head cover to wipe the sweat from his face,...mate cheers for making the waters a little more clear to me..
