Has anyone read Anthony Beevor’s latest book? It’s not available here yet, but The Economist review looked quite interesting ..
Mr Beevors latest does look and sound very interesting,I already hold quite a few titles on the subject of Arnhem, but I may give this a read sometime

Both of the movies made about the battle tended to gloss over the less than competent stuff..and give the Dutch less recognition than they deserve, but there is no doubting the heroism of both sorts: the medal winning acts of valour, and the dogged sticking it out sort...I haven’t seen much from the other side..how the Germans saw it..and experienced it..

I think your depictions strike the right tone.not the gung ho stuff, but the solid courage and tenacity.

Looks very good Brian.....Looking forward to seeing how you a put a theme together with five busts so they all blend together in one display so the focus of the viewer is not drawn to one figure but a single sculpture as one. Hey...it's all you and looking forward to the finished result. Keep the vision and the great work going.
Regards,
Wayne
