I've started to prep the figure ready for priming , along with the groundwork.
The head and body section had been drilled and pinned, before priming, I'm going to
cement the canteen and tail end of the blanket roll in position first.

Nice base Malc, I guess it makes sense doing the base first, save messing the painted figure when doing it last thing, must try and remember that.

To be honest Simon, I normally leave it till last, but seeing Snik work on the groundwork early on has inspired to do the same.
As you say, it does make sense.

Nice start. Interesting - for me, the figure kind of creates the groundwork or at least has an influence on it so it is always the last step in my book.

As previously mentioned I usually leave the groundwork till last, in this case I'd pretty much had the idea of what I wanted
for the groundwork even before I started on the piece.

Nice groundwork. Not a bad idea to do it first, because I find it's easy to rush it after getting the figure painted because you want to get on to the next project.

Hi David, all I can say is if you decide to get one you will not be disappointed. You do get two heads with the kit the other has a slouch hat both versions look great.
