    Roman Cavalry figure

Craig, He looks awesome...very nicely done...but I gotta ask, what is the hole right below his heart? HIs left hand looks a lil big, but that might be the angle of the pic. Nonetheless, it's incredible. How did you get the silver on the helmet to look so aged? All the best Patrick

    Verlinden- February releases

Colin, Not sure I am tracking the 35mm figures...I only know of 1/35 and 54mms from him in the more smaller "manly" scale ;) . Verlinden has been doing for about a year now, 54mm and there are probably close to a dozen 54mm figgers Francois has produced over the last year ranging from ACW to...

    Verlinden- February releases

Roc, The Roman is a great piece...it comes in eight pieces and is very nicely scuplted. The face on this guy is awesome and the pose lends itself to some very nice adaptations. I have been working on mine on and off for months, and it's a great piece...plus this is a 90mm piece which for...

    Fusilier Grenadier of the Guard

Brent, Excellent work...One of my favorite pieces from Verlinden. I really like your flesh tones, and knowing that you used an airbrush leaves me in awe. If I can make one recommendation...consider outlining the shacko with a deep black violet. This will help offset all the black and accent...

    Oils Drying time

Tony, All good points from the above members, but I would ask that you look at one additional point in addition to heating...whenever I use oils, I lay them out on a 3x5 card, and allow the oil to seperate from the pigment. I'll let them stand for about 20mins or so, then all that is left on...

    While I am waiting...

Keith, ;) no worries...the key is to remember that this is a glaze, and not an application like you would use for a basecoat...you want the consistency of lowfat milk (watery, but you can tell it's sorta milk...) Good luck...let me know if you need anything All the best Patrick
