Hi Chris ,

Nice start are you painting them both at the same time then (ie helmets together?) plenty of opportunity to vary the uniform colour as well , like the leather jerkin

What about the faces ...are these being done last ??

Happy painting

Hi Guys
Yea sort of painting in Tandem lol lots of work to do the uniforms will weathered the Jerkin has a host of weathering wear to create .
But as you know the British uniform was a pretty standerd colour as were helmets webbing skrim so it's all about the weathering alas there is not the get out of jail card that other spectacular uniforms have , lol sorry but that is a dig at the plethara of the gemans just means the painter has to hone there skills in creating a great effect with good old kakhi will be starting the face at some point soon , really enjoying the process cracking sculpt Jimbo.
Cheers Chris

The one at the front definately needs a woodbine on the go to be a proper British Pongo.....LOL.....nice work so far Chris

They coming together nicely now Chris, the shade of colour for the battledress/webbing & jerkin looks right to me, I thought you'd go for the piece of German Parachute cloth for the neck scarf, looks good, the bloke with the jerkin would look good with a fag in his mouth (that's how the original bust was) I like the look of the helmets too, but I must say though with the pale skin & white eyes they look like Zombies of the walking dead!;)
Hope to have a look at them on Sunday (been given the all clear!) keep at it mate
Cheers
Jim
