Richie, I love what you have done here mate, it looks brilliant. It has the look of much care and attention, patience and a good grasp of the period. I think the painting is great, the horse has tured out to be a winner! Groundwork gets a round of applause and overall you should celebrate with a fry up followed by some nice cream cakes and sweet tea!!!! Only joking fella! I hope the health is ok and keep knocking back them pills.

A success in so many ways.

Cheers
Dave

Hi Roger, Brian & Dave,
Cheers lads and thanks for all the help and support, it has been invaluable - if any of you make to the Sword & Lance I am going to take it with me. First timer too:eek: in showing. Come and say hello if you go.

Great finish Richie. Hope you have a good time at Darlo, wish I was going.
Roger.

PS Throughout this thread I've been checking out the view through your windows, do you live in a Persimmon house? :D Roger, long range nosey bloke.

Cracking job mate and good to see you got to the end with this one, was quite a major project you undertook but was worth the effort, sorry I wont be at S&L to see it.

All the best

Steve

Superb result Richie, considering you are not a seasoned horse painter, I think this is a brilliant job. Well worth showing mate and th best of luck !

Hi Roger,
Thanks for the compliment.
Are you an amateur architect! Sorry don't know, it could be a Parmesan House for all I know:rolleyes:. That is the view from my conservatory - great light for working, just wish I had the skills to match it. My wife calls it my modelling workshop - starts at the front door and finishes at the back door.
cheers
Richie

Hi Carl - Thanks mate, I will catch up with you on Saturday(y) I might bring my paints and you can give me a few lessons. Crikey you post avatars like finished models I just can't keep up with them.:) Mind Mr Barton - If you are taking figures to show I am not putting mine next to yours - model that is, I've seen your work first hand.

Being a good "Monkey Hanger" - I suppose I could always say the chimp painted mine. Now there's a new category.
Painted by "Monkey Hangers"

Hello the Leicester contingent,
A massive thank you to you both. Great help and support from you both. A pity you cannot make this weekend:( would be nice to see you both there, we will all post photo's for you anyway. Take care lads.
cheers to you all again - now I'm off for a large scotch.
Richie

Parmo House, that's a Smoggie delicacy isn't it?
Not an amateur architect, just a bit worried you were going round my house to paint figures while I'm at sea, I'll be checking the levels in my paints when I get home. :D

What's the next prokect, anything similar?

Roger.

Looking forward to seeing the Naval Brigade conversion come together, great subject! The other plans are good too, I've often thought the trooper firing over the horse would make a good figure.
Teabags are in the jar next to the kettle..... leave my homebrew alone though! :D

Roger.
