Just put the finishing touches to him and nice to see some new scarlet in the cabinet.

A beautiful piece as always from you Geoff, but 3 areas in particular caught my eye:
1) Facial painting & skintones - stunning!
2) Shako - this looks like the real thing, & you've managed to capture the look of a privately-made item using bespoke quality cloth etc. The shako plate is particularly impressive.
3) Lapels - you've painted these in such a way as to suggest that they look like a fine quality cloth, most realistic.
Superb work from start to finish, Congratulations & keep 'em coming!

Beautifully painted. It's odd that the manufacturer left off the upturned flap at the back of the shako.

Mike

Thank you Mike, I have noticed this too but so have illustrators, only one book I have show it on a Shako but others don't but I have seen them on Stove Pipe hats a lot.

Cheers

Many thanks Chris, very kind of you. A lot of it is having a super sculpting which I find makes the painting easier and a lot of luck.

Cheers
Geoff
