The chequering is looking good, like you not sure about the red edging possibly an artifact of the computer generated image.

The unknown artist is my good self, I know what you're going to ask and no I don't remember the paints I used on the lace. Hopefully I documented them in the WIP.

Not going sure ref the red edging on the dicing but saying that it appears on modern day Scots Guards dicing ( Thanks to Mick Ankim)

I love finding things like this ... but a nice CDV of a Sgt of 10th Hussars , the photograph method has made the yellow cap lines/cords look black

Some quick piccys on the dicing .....still lots to do on each square , edges , highs etc ...it’s taking a lot ! .....but should be worth it ....after the headwear is done ...going to paint the 2 ribbons ...to retain my sanity !

Finished fiddling in the dicing ...happy now ....only to find this rather nice piece in the GA !!!!.......dicing .....

Must admit it looks a lot better after another couple of hours ...going to do ribbons and the goldwork on the peak before a pic ...yes I know I’m a tease ...lol

In-between hunting for Easter eggs ...none found ! ......here some update pics ( click on for larger images )

Dicing finished as is the red piping around cap , ribbons done

Work to do on peak , and paint the blue above the dicing and the intricate roundabout on top and the badge

...it’s coming along nicely

Happy to say I have retained my slimline atheletic Figure thanks to the choccy eggs , working on top of forage now .....using your ideas .....it’s was a lot of messing around but I’m glad I’ve done this
