I'm running this along side the thread on Pegaso's Hospitaller.
As mentioned in the other thread, this is my second time painting this bust,
although in a smaller scale. There's so much detail and character in this piece, that I couldn't
resist painting it again.

I started by airbrushing a flesh tone as the base, and as you can see, I've painted the eyes
and have started to build up some tones on the forehead.

Malc. I enjoyed painting this one and watching 1883 on blue ray. It's a superb likeness.
I like your use of the airbrush and I wish I have one.
Keep up the good work

Cheers Bob, This is my 2nd version in a smaller scale, one of the best busts on the market IMO.
I did watch a few episodes of 1883, but just couldn't get into it.
You can pick up some portable airbrushes quite cheaply, take a look at Neat&Handy or Amazon.
I even picked up a real cheapy to practise with from Temu, just £13.00.

I will have a look, cheers.

Nice work Malc, there is so much character etched into his face so slow and steady is the best approach.

Cheers Simon

Thanks Simon.
The nice and slow method seems to giving me some pleasing results, lets hope I don't muck it up.

I'm keeping up with keeping it nice and slow, and have made some more progress this morning.
I've concentrated on highlights trying to keep them nice and subtle at this stage.
A basecoat to the hair has been added, but it needs a few more coats before I start to add detail.
