WIP Critique The Saxons

I started a new project involving the 2 Saxons brilliantly sculpted by Raul Garcia Latorre.
I'm pretty advanced with the first figure and if everything goes well I'll start today the second.
Here is the first guy:

I finished the first guy. Need to touch up few things but, basically, is checked. Road is open for the second figure.

Ron: The blue stuff is Blue Tack used to hold the figure on the wooden handle when I painted. Is not the groundwork. Got mixed with black when I primed.

Last weekend I had a good painting session and made some progress. Still a lot to do.
