Excellent SBS , Ivo . Please excuse for my ignorance , how is the kettledrum attached to the saddle cloth of the horse ? Any photos possible to show this ? Many thanks in advance

the fringes of the saddle are a long process, boring but required. copper wire twisted mini drill and a positioned piece by piece .... to support and facilitating the gluing I glued a small piece of lead on the rear of the tissue

the apron of the kettledrum are made of copper, I have made a paper cutout and then reproduced the shape in copper sheet glued with superglue



the fringes are completely assembled around the saddle

Ivo, why do you use copper sheet instead of lead? Isn't it much stiffer?
The figure is coming along very nicely.

two different main reason... copper is much stiffer than lead but it's absolutely ok for some job like the tissue of the drums
second advantage ...easier to be find
third advantage it will not has have any problems along the times

it's time for the feathers, I started to sculpt in miliput terracotta on a rigid support. to leave them fly I used some removable support till dry

the feathers have been completed but I'm not really happy with the result, I've to modify something




the banner of the drums looks too long and I shortened them cutting in the middle and gluing the parts
