I wish you all the best with the project and hope that your obvious enthusiasm for the subject continues through. This may be your biggest enemy. If that does happen, let us know and we'll help pull you through. (y)

You must see the retreat from Moscow painting in Manchester art gallery if you haven't already. You'll see a few parts of it that have been made into figures you'll recognise. Just didn't want to be outdone by a scouser! ;)

I enjoy Manchester, but not people calling me English :).

To the right is the wounded soldier in between the two larger groups of figures.

attach the provided base to one body half.

cut off the excess of base and file or sand the protrusions back flush with the body and blend in the body to the neck with some putty and sand smooth.

hope this gives you more of an idea of the work underway.

I have now started building the Emperor's coach. An absolutely superb model kit with wonderful detail.
When put together, the wheels can turn and the front articulates to turn corners.
All in plastic. Amazing.

The assembly process is moving along very nicely Paul,however I would'nt want to be in your shoes painting this lot,this is going to be a Monumental painting challenge and one that will test your resolve I think,I wish you all the very best with it (y)
