Looks really nice do far. Shield is a smashing job. Likewise the figure.
Worth the effort.
Cheers David, lets hope I can do justice to front of the shield, hoping to try something I've not done before.

Shield is looking good, so is he!
Loving this project, I'm annoyed I didn't start following earlier! If you don't mind me asking, when you say you 'burnished' a part, what do you mean? The metal work looks absolutely fantastic.
Also, is this the sort of paste you mean: https://priorypolishes.co.uk/product/liberon-iron-paste/
Thanks Malc, that's very cool. How hard-wearing is the finish? Can you shade with oils over the top?
You're really showing your age with this method mate, but hey why reinvent a method that works well.
Cheers Simon
I picked up some stovax, weirdly it doesn’t seem to want to stick to the resin, I’ll have to try other finishes.

Hi Malc
Thanks for the SBS on the helmet ...I do hope you get up 5 hrs before you go to bed and do the stove and grate ...after licking the front steps clean....lol
The paste certainly works well
Found these on a google

Hi Stefan
Personally I think it works better on metal, but don't give up on the resin, a friend of mine used to get good results on the old airfix figures.
When I tried the resin the other day I just added a dollop of the paste with a cotton bud and let it dry out before buffing up.
