Tirailleur Senegalais from Pilipil

Hi everyone

I have also started this from Pilipili ..it's a bust ...of course !!

Always liked Pilipil busts ..I like the scarring on the face on this one

Very little prep needed , just attach the tassel to the headwear , slight sanding

Primed in black , now basecoating it ...it has a medal on it already !

They were very good fighters ....those scars weren't from shaving ! ....a traditional thing !

Cheers ...you should get it on the bench ...you coukd do a later version as well quite easily

The hanging tassel at the back will be a very light blue

The medalis just primed atm

...this will be a OOB paint up nothing more added ..but I was tempted !!!

Not had much time to paint and the heat hasn't helped ...like many !

Verbal update ...finished the headwear

Found some pics and might change the cost colour ......not sure ! ...wish I had a 2nd one !
