Started on this bust. Painted with acrylics.

Is the bearskin done in a chromatic black, and if so what colors did you use?? (base, midtone, shadow & highlight???) It's definitely impressive...I'm an 'oils' man myself...find it difficult to work in acrylics (of course, I've been away from active participation in the hobby for over 28 years)...I taught myself to use 'em when I began painting in the mid 70s (with assistance from some of the best artists of the day, the late Andrei Koribanics and Bob Knee) I find that acrylics dry too quickly for me, but can live with the slower drying oils ( Dorland's Wax Medium helps in that case)...Nice work, my friend...

Chris, I've done the bearskin with Vallejo Black, Burnt Umber and Burnt Cadmium Red for some highlights. In several layers. Acrylics are easy in bringing over and over again.
